What is clutter?

  • Anything that you keep “just in case”
  • Things that are in the wrong place – such as the pile of mail covering your dining room table
  • Appliances that you never use
  • Magazine articles or recipes you’ve cut out to share with someone and still have in yet another pile on your dining room table
  • Things that you have too many of – one (blah) beige sweater-set is enough!
  • Things that are broken – the zipper on those pants, that lost button
  • Things that are out of date, or not appropriate for your body, or age
  • Things you can’t identify – random cables, keys, and anything in a junk drawer
